About the Role
We are seeking for an experienced Microsoft MS SQL Database Engineer with a strong focus on T-SQL code and database improvement to join our global team.
As part of our cross functional teams, you will work closely with the agile development teams, in maintaining and improving our legacy database code base as well as working on the design and architecture for the modernization of our products. You will play a critical role in preparing installation requirements for our customers together with our field support teams on as well as defining backup and maintenance plans.
Responsibilities additionally include
Maintain, troubleshoot, optimize and improve existing database code
Maintain, troubleshoot, optimize and improve existing database installations
Design and development of high-quality database solutions.
Creating and maintaining database standards and policies.
Supporting database design, creation, and testing activities.
Managing the database availability and performance, including incident and problem management.
Administering database objects to achieve optimum utilization.
Develop, implement, and optimize stored procedures and functions using T-SQL.
Analyze existing SQL queries for performance improvements.
Required Qualification
5+ years of experience of working as a MS-SQL database engineer
Excellent understanding of T-SQL programming
Excellent understanding of Microsoft SQL Server
Experience with database security practices and tools e.g. Transparent Data Encryption (TDE)
Experience in SQL Server Performance Monitoring and Tuning
Knowledge of latest security methods for database/application productivity
Experience in the pharmacy automation industry a plus
Fluent in English, both in verbal and written communication, German is a plus
valid work permit for Austria

According to the collective bargain agreement the minimum annual salary for this position is EUR 54,740 p.a. (IT KV, ST1, Erfahrungsstufe). Based on individual skills and experience, we offer appropriate additional payment.
