Working as a Newborn Hearing Screener in a team undertaking the screening of babies in the first few days of their life, you will be a reliable individual with excellent communication skills and at ease working with mothers and very young babies. You will be passionate about delivering a family friendly yet professional experience for both mother and baby during the screening process. If you are an excellent communicator and want to be part of a team then this role could be for you.
Whilst this is a part time role, you will be expected to work a rota system including Saturdays and Sundays and Public Holidays.
This post will be based in the Maternity Unit, Ninewells Hospital.
No previous experience of newborn hearing screening is necessary.
Your performance must comply with the national “Mandatory Induction Standards for Healthcare Support Workers 2009” and with the Code of Conduct for Healthcare Support Workers.
